About Mountains Country House
Weddings
Mountains Country House is a Grade II listed country house situated in 26 acres of historic parkland. It offers a beautiful setting for weddings and receptions and by offering exclusive use, gives total privacy and seclusion to make your special day one to remember. The luxurious marquee is nestled into the grounds adjacent to this magnificent Victorian house and is landscaped around the marquee for guests to be able to spill out on to the lawns in warmer weather. The large gazebo which adjoins the terrace and conservatory is perfect for outdoor ceremonies and can seat up to150 guests.
Our Victorian house, built in 1866, has a wealth of interesting features from its listed Minton floor in the oak panelled entrance hall to the listed dresser in the Clarke Somers reception room. You have the added benefit of being able to enjoy the relaxed ambience of the house before proceeding to the marquee for your wedding breakfast.

Special Parties and Balls
The marquee and house also offer a stunning venue for your special occasion and it is perfect for an 18th, 40th, Charity Ball or a school ball celebration. It is a sophisticated location for your party and the venue can accommodate 250 guests easily. The marquee can be adapted to hold more than this number and please enquire about these possibilities.
